How to get rid of Belly Fat

1. The use of high intensity forms of exercise and full-body resistance training. Low intensity cardio exercise simply isn't as effective for removing visceral fat in particular. High intensity exercise such as interval training or full-body weight training are very effective at helping to improve your body's ability to manage glucose and increases insulin sensitivity, a crucial step in removing visceral fat. These types of high intensity exercise routines are also very effective at increasing your fat-burning hormones and creating a hormonal environment conducive to burning off abdominal fat, including visceral fat.

2. In addition, it's vitally important to get blood sugar under control to help restore insulin sensitivity through the right nutrition. This means greatly reducing sugars and refined starches in your diet (including fully eliminating any use of harmful high fructose corn syrup!), and focusing more of your diet on healthy fats (such as avocados, nuts, seeds, coconut fat, olive oil, free-range eggs, fatty fish and fish oils, etc), as well as increasing protein and fiber intake.

The standard diet recommended by the government, which contains an unnaturally high grain intake is NOT conducive to controlling blood sugar and reducing visceral fat! Reducing grain-based foods in your diet and getting more of your carbs from veggies and high fiber fruits such as berries can go a long way to helping to solve this problem.

3 minute microwave pumpkin pie

This recipe can help satiate your sweet tooth as well as give you and your family a huge dose of Vitamin A. Which is a critical nutrient in keeping the immune system strong. This can literally be made in a matter of minutes. While lacking the exact flavor and structure of pumpkin pie, if you love pumpkin this can be a great thing to whip up at the last minute.

Kids LOVE this. (We have proven this in clinical research.)

Ingredients:

1 can of pureed pumpkin.

Coconut Oil or Butter

Sugar

Cinnamon (even a little added ginger and nutmeg if you have it)

Directions:

Take 1 can of pumpkin, open it up and put it in a microwave safe bowl.

Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (or butter if you don't have this).

Throw in a little sugar, maybe molasses, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon.

Add a touch of salt. Throw in the microwave for 3 minutes.

Remove, stir and cool. Add or adjust the flavors as you like. Enjoy.. this is a tasty way to get a huge dose of Vitamin A. Spinach

1 head broccoli
1 big carrot

cilantro
basmati rice

How to make it:

1. Chop up the eggplant, peppers, broccoli, carrot and other veggies
2. Heat the coconut milk with in a wok and add the red thai curry paste, stir until it’s mixed properly
3. When the coconut milk and curry paste start to simmer, put in the veggies
4. Add ginger, garlic, thai basil and cilantro and cook everything until the veggies are smooth
5. Prepare basmati rice to eat aside!

Her Comments On Why This Recipe Is A Potential Magic Fridge Addition:

  • This Thai curry is one of the gifts that keep on giving, because you can make a huge pot and eat it through 3 days – actually re-heating it tastes even better each time.
  • If you like it really spicy you can add more hot red thai curry paste.
  • You can also vary the veggies and add e.g. tomatoes, snow peas, sprouts – whatever you like! I prefer it with basmati rice, but brown rice is also good.

Mediterranean Gourmet Power Bowl

Mediterranean cuisine is one of my favorites. It feels so fresh and clean and tastes like spring. I created this after spotting a great advertisement by Udi's for their sundried tomato artichoke pizza.

If you're looking to increase the vegetables in way that tastes great, reduce the wheat, have a "perfect protein", and leave feeling clean and full of energy, this is for you!

One thing we are working hard on doing is identifying foods that can be used in small amounts to deliver a big taste. Goat cheese is one of those foods. It is also a food that is a staple of "gourmet" cuisine. Of course we are here to help give you recipes to lose weight and get more energy.

But if we also teach you some great "gourmet" skills, that will be an added benefit!

Luckily my mother in law is one of the world's best cooks, and she has taught me over the years how to make healthy food dishes that not only taste great, but that impress your friends. Who among us does not want to make something for friends or guests and have them say "what is this, I HAVE to get this recipe."

That is a pretty tall order, but that is our new goal with our recipes! Seems like fun at least.

  • 1 can of fresh artichoke hearts
  • 15 sun dried tomatoes (quartered)
  • 1 Quart of cooked quinoa
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves chopped garlic (if you'd like to get fancy and have an extra 25 minutes, 8 cloves of roasted garlic, slice off the top and roast at 400 for 25 min. Or buy pre roasted))
  • 1/2 cup of basil leaves
  • Few shakes of crushed red pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: 1 ounce of crumbled goat cheese
  • Optional: Finely chop spinach, Kale, Bok Choy in the Cuisinart, and add it to help reach your 1/2 pound green goal for the day. Maybe you don't want to do this for company or friends. But it fits in very easily.

Prepare quinoa according to pkg. It's usually 1 cup of quinoa to 2 cups of water. I highly recommend preparing in the rice cooker.

If you don't have a rice cooker just bring the water to a boil, add the quinoa, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 15-17 minutes until it is fluffy.

While quinoa is cooking, place artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, chopped spinach/kale, olive oil, garlic, few shakes of red pepper flakes in mixing bowl. When quinoa is finished, add to bowl. Then add a pinch of salt and goat cheese! It is DELICIOUS!

How to make Greens taste Insanely Great!

How To Make Greens Taste Insanely Great

From the coastal Maine kitchen of author, dancer, artist and chef Sukanya Rahman Wicks, who is literally the world's best cook:

This is a variation on a traditional "Punjabi Saag" recipe. Historically Mustard Greens are harvested at the same time as the corn, and the ground corn is used to thicken the greens. But any thickening agent can be used. In this case we used ground flaxseed, which is an excellent alternative to corn. 95% corn now is genetically modified, and should be avoided in an ideal diet.

(We will be covering this subject in an upcoming interview with PhD nutritionist JJ Virgin, who will explain in detail how GMO Corn is toxic to your body. This is why GMO corn is considered a Cheat, and non-GMO corn is on the left side of the PEERtrainer Cheat System!)

Ingredients:

• 1 large bunch kale washed and chopped fine

• 1 large bunch mustard greens washed and chopped fine

(or substitute ANY mixture of frozen kale, mustard greens, collard, spinach etc. equivalent to about two 16oz bags. Whole Foods 365 brand has excellent frozen greens which were used in this recipe. EVERY other major food chain also has excellent frozen greens and they are very affordable. This might be the best bang for the buck in nutrition!)

• 1 or two 2 Jalapenos or green chillies

• Thinly julliened ginger or chopped fine (at least an inch long piece of ginger, the more the merrier).

• 4 or five cloves peeled garlic

• Sea Salt to taste

• 2 tbsps olive oil

• 1/2 large onion sliced thin

• 1 tsp cumin powder

• Juice of 1/2 a lime/ lemon

• 1 or 2 tbsp milled flax (optional to thicken, traditionally maize flour is used)

Preparation:

• Mix the greens, green chillies, garlic and steam or boil in a little water boil till cooked. (or use pressure cooker)

• Mash the greens with your Immersion Blender to make a coarse paste.

• In another pan, heat the olive oil on a medium flame. When hot add the onions and ginger and saute for a few minutes

• Add the cumin and fry for a minute or so.

• Add the greens mix to this and stir till blended. Cook a few minutes longer until flavours are blended.

Important Cooking Note:

All proportions are all approximate. This is just a guide. If you do cook a smaller batch, don't use more than one Jalapeno or Green Chili. If you like less spicy food, but still want some flavor, use 1/2 a Jalapeno.

PS: This is a great recipe for those of you following the PEERtrainer Cheat System, using the Mastermind "stay on track" system or going through the Point Of No Return Program!
