Juicing is a fantastic way of getting much more nutrients from fruits and
vegetables into our diet in a tasty and refreshing way. Juicing offers many
benefits including the fact that it requires hardly any digestion, so the
nutrients get absorbed faster in your system. It is also a great way to
detox. That's why we are including not one, but two Alkaline
Drinks recipes below. Hope you enjoy them!
Green drink
Ingredients:
1 cucumber
1 banana
¼ Cantaloupe
1 tbsp flax seed
1 Lemon
Distilled water
Instructions:
Blend flax seed alone until powdery. Add 1 cup of distilled water, celery, and kale chopped in small pieces. Blend. Add cucumber, banana, and cantaloupe and more water if you like your drink thinner; blend until smooth. Squeeze the lemon juice and enjoy.
Red Drink
Ingredients:
1 Beet
1 Red Apple
1 Carrot
1 Cup of water
Lemon to taste
Instructions:
Thoroughly wash the produce. Cut in large pieces the
beet, apple, and carrot (with skin), and blend in water. Add freshly squeezed
lemon for a more refreshing taste.
Remember
that beet is a natural detoxifier, liver cleanser, and blood purifier. Beet has
been found to protect against coronary artery disease and stroke, lower
cholesterol levels, and has anti-aging effects.
Both
these drinks work as alkalizers in our body, and provide us with dense
quantities of phytonutrients and antioxidants that empower our bodies to fight
disease and live longer, healthier lives.
